The blades are slightly concave and perfectly aligned to allow them to cut through thick layers effortlessly.

Our painted handle is a classic handle style. It features a lighter overall scissor weight and fits the natural curve of your thumb. If you want more padding to protect your hand, the rubber-coated handles are soft and will cushion your hand. However, the rubber on the handle adds a little bit of weight to the overall scissor, and also makes the handle space a little smaller.

The measurement you see - such as 8" - is the entire length of the scissor, including the handle.

It depends on how often you use the scissors, what kind of material you’re cutting, and how well you take care of your scissors. When tested in the rigors of professional sewing studios, our scissors outperformed other brands in the same price tier.

Please note that all scissors will need to be sharpened at some point and that dullness is not considered a defect.

This is because we put a coating of oil on the blades to prevent any rust from developing during the shipping process. You can simply wipe it off before using the scissors. However, we do recommend that you apply a thin layer of oil - such as anti-rust, sewing machine oil, or any neutral oil - on the blades and button with a cloth when not in use.

Beautiful piece! Said it had defects to be in seconds sale but i didn’t notice any.

This is my second pair of scissors from LDH, the first was a 9”! Cannot recommend them enough!

Love them!

I bought the 10" shears. I absolutely love them. They cut beautifly. Such smooth, clean cut, and right to the tip of the blades.

I have large hands and the handles are the perfect size. When I use other shears, I typically have just enough room for 3 fingers but it's usually pretty tight and the pressure from the tight fit eventually leads to pain depending on how much I'm cutting. That is not a problem with shears; I have plenty of room for my fingers. The handles are ergonomic as well, which also cuts down on potential discomfort and pain.

As for these being "seconds," there's not really a noticeable flaw. The blades are in perfect condition. There's a bit of roughness on the handles, but it's in a spot that doesn't make contact with skin, so I have no worries that it'll become a problem at any time.

I would 100% recommend.

What scuffs?

Hardly noticed the scuffing and the actual cutting experience is buttery. Shears are an absolute delight to use. I don't usually bother leaving reviews, but felt like these genuinely deserve more attention than they get in the sewing community. If you're hesitating, don't!

Great fabric shears

I bought the 9" version, and they are super comfortable and sharp. Aesthetically the scissors still look fantastic. Just a few minor scuffs and scratches. I like them so much I ordered some more scissors for myself and to gift one to my sister.
