  • Size and Functionality: Smaller scissors are excellent for crafts that need small and detailed cuts, or for simple cutting thread or yarn. Larger scissors provide more leverage and comfort for heavy-duty cutting. For general sewing, 9” shears are a great all-around size unless larger hands or personal preference call for bigger sizes.
