With a dragon and phoenix moulded on the handles, our Imperial Scissors feature an extra wide handle and ultra-sharp blades!

*This pair of shears is right-handed but has ambidextrous handles.*

The blades are crafted from heavy-duty stainless steel and are put together by hand.

The large shape of the handles make even the smallest Imperial Scissor comfortable in the hand. The blades are perfectly aligned, allowing them to cut through fabric effortlessly. Ambidextrous handles allow them to be used in both the left and right hand. The sizes you see above represent the full size of the scissor, including the handle.

They can be used for cutting paper, thread, fabric, lightweight leather, or canvas. They're the perfect scissors for everyday use, or even as a display piece!

Wipe down the blades and lubricate with oil once a month.

The measurement you see - such as 8" - is the entire length of the scissor, including the handle.

It depends on how often you use the scissors, what kind of material you’re cutting, and how well you take care of your scissors. When tested in the rigors of professional sewing studios, our scissors outperformed other brands in the same price tier.

Please note that all scissors will need to be sharpened at some point and that dullness is not considered a defect.

This is because we put a coating of oil on the blades to prevent any rust from developing during the shipping process. You can simply wipe it off before using the scissors. However, we do recommend that you apply a thin layer of oil - such as anti-rust, sewing machine oil, or any neutral oil - on the blades and button with a cloth when not in use.

Good for my foundation piecing

I like using these scissors (size 6 inches) for trimming when foundation piecing. They are light, so my hand doesn't get tired. The blades are slim, easy to control when cutting off small pieces.

Nice but not for me

These are very nice quality, sharp and precise blades, but I'm not sure they'll see heavy use. I got the 7.5" ones thinking I could use them as an all-purpose scissor around the house, but I have smallish hands (palm circumference is ~7") and the large space in the handles makes it awkward for me to open them.
